Beyond the search

"Sam's Solitary Search" chronicles the reflective travels of Sam, a guy who feels like an outsider in his own life as he makes his way around the busy city. He struggles with an indeterminate emptiness as he aimlessly strolls the city streets, longing for connection and purpose. His current loneliness stands in stark contrast to his recollections of childhood warmth. He meets Dia one evening in an abandoned park; she too feels a peaceful calm. Sam finds a shaky connection and hope restored through their chat. Walking home, he comes to the realisation that life's purpose stems from his desire for meaning, and that finding someone to share it with-or even simply better understanding oneself-can help make the world appear less overwhelming.
