The world has been changed by a series of massive earthquakes that no one knows the causes of. Very few people seem to be left from the rubble but a small group of people that have forged out a living on New Virginia Beach. Two of them, namely Ezekiel and Milena, have questions about the pasts that they do not remember. Everyone has questions of why things are the way they are but life must go on as long as it lives. However, as these people begin to discover the truth of what happened, a series of events begins to unfold that could reshape the whole world again. (Sorry that I changed POV in the middle of the story. I will go back and edit the whole thing to third person one day =B )

I am republishing this for a friend who wanted to read a sample of my work. The plot is all over the place, but I know I'll revisit it in future. I initially wrote this in 2017 before I knew a lot of things I know now. There's a lot in here that is culturally insensitive. I have done my best to edit out what I could find at first glance, but if you see something glaringly offensive please make a comment about it so that I can correct my errors. The most egregious example that comes to mind is using the G-word for the Romani and relying on unflattering stereotypes. I plan to correct a lot of this in proceeding drafts. (If it wasn't obvious this story is insanely bad. The remastered/rewrite is better but still needs a ton of work. So I'm going to leave this story here whilst I work on the true legit story in the remastered version. This story is about the life of a human boy gifted with incredible powers as he and his friends (human and nonhuman) go and try to save the universe from being either conquered or destroyed. Two twins wander across a strange stone during a field trip. Strange things start happening after they find the rock and the twins suddenly find themselves in danger. There was a major war that happened and now the government is trying a new experiment on the city. The main character, Alex, and her best friends who are twins are seeing that something isn't right. They're seniors in high school but because of the war, they've been separated on government orders. No one is allowed outside because the government is making people to believe its toxic. They believe that if the parents believe it, the kids will too. But it doesn't stop Alex. She and her best friends decide that they are going to try and stop this. But how? They have no clue. But the first step, going outside. Is it truely toxic out there ? They're about to find out.
