26 parts Complete Welcome to Magnolia, Louisiana, where the year is 2011, but it's more like 1921.
Meet Delilah: an African American girl who's words are raw, uncut, and blunt. She's not bitter, she's "mad as hell." She wants to do more, but can't where she lives, where racial ties are holding her down.
Meet Samson: Sports freak, not into the Klan like his father wants him to be. He's easy-going, blending in with the standard Magnolia white boy: straight A's in high school, football player/baseball player, ready to be initated in the Klan, and ready to take over Daddy's business as soon as he finishes college.
Delilah doesn't want anything to do with Samson. After all, his dad killed Delilah's dad and got away with it.
Samson doesn't want anything to do with Delilah. After all, she jeopardizes his once chance at being safe in this town, at being someone. He can't be with her... but he can't be without her.
Can these two work out the difference before it's too late? Before Delilah gets hurt by Samson's people? Or Samson gets hurt by her people?
