Within the foggy streets of Victorian Whitechapel, wanders Charlotte Carey, a young woman new to the police force and eager to learn. However, her rookie curiousness is cut short by a new murder, one of the exact same style as none other than Jack the Ripper. Charlotte battles to get a place on the case and is accepted as the first ever female detective to work on a murder case, will she discover the Ripper's real identity or will she end up as another victim herself?

(Apologies if this isn't exactly accurate to the case or time period, I'm doing as much research as can I can into the past and on improving my writing, I hope you enjoy reading my story!)

Also I would like to say this real quick, but this is sort of like a enemies to lovers type of fanfic but it's a more quick rolling book in the beginning. But I always like to write these little notes to help readers understand what is going on in the book. So please enjoy and please don't hate on my terrible writing skills. X^X

She appeared to have knowledge of her daughter's past life! Charlotte tries to solve the mystery of her daughter's death and the peculiar girl. She gets trapped in a morbid time machine which travels her to 1945, the year on her daughter's death, to try to save her from the events. Could this all be a coincidence or just some weird hoax? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Everyone has there own secrets. Some are dark and morbid, even when everyone in your town talks about it. You swore to secrecy that they wouldn't tattle, but you sometimes can't trust them, even if something goes terribly wrong that the truth has to be uncovered.... Warning: contains violence in some scenes. I have no interest or intention in actually killing someone or something. This is just a book I like to write and criminal minds in the '40s-'60s got me thinking of writing my very first book (which is this one). He walked over to the taller male and stared at him in curiosity. He then lifted his hand and reached for the mask. Only to be stopped by a strong hand. "What are you doing?"
