If life was somehow a little bit more kind and fair, things would've been easier.

But if life wasn't this messed up and painful,

I wouldn't have met you.

The saying "Age doesn't matter" goes along the way.

Either one falls for someone older than they are, or someone younger.

But how would things go if everything you both do contradicts one another?
