Blossom in the Frost and Shadows

"I heard that Lord Simons's your brother..." I started and I was met with silence but I saw something flash in his eyes that made them look colder than they already were.

I nervously gulped but I decided to continue. " I did not know that he had a brother..."

"Being a gossip does not suit you Miss Adams." Was his cold responce.

I swallowed nervously as I felt embrassed. I racked my brain for anything to say.

Miss Margaret Sabrina Adams had been out in society for three seasons and had no luck securing a marriage offer. She did not wish to be doomed to spinsterhood and her father did not have a male heir, which would put her at the mercy of her cousins when her family's title gets passed down to them.

An odd offer from Lord Matthew Simons, the most eligible bachelor leads her to meet Mr Nicholas Simons, Lord Matthew Simon's older brother, who many people, herself included, were unaware of his existence for some odd reason. He was cold, rude and intimidating and brought out the worst in her.

Miss Adams had the misfortune of capturing the cold, intense and empty grey eyes of a troubled man with a frosty demeanour.
