This is a post 7x11 fiction that explores life after Mickey's prison "escape" and how things have changed for him. As he's building a new life, will he allow Ian to be a part of it, or will Ian's choices in the past keep them apart? Title: Bright Eyes "First Day of My Life" And so I'd thought I'd let you know that these things take forever, I especially am slow But I realized that need you & I wondered if I could come home I remember the time you drove all night, just to meet me in the morning And I thought it was strange, you said everything changed You felt as if you just woke up, & you said "This is the first day of my life I'm glad I didn't die before I met you but now I don't care, I could go anywhere with you & I'd probably be happy" So if you wanna be with me with these things there's no telling We just have to wait and see, but I'd rather be working for a paycheck Than waiting to win the lottery. Besides, maybe this time is different I mean, I really think you like me

Just two friends and a compass, the storyline may be rushed but it's my first full story in 3-4 years so enjoy :)

Ian's life is stable, he's in a relationship, has a job and finally takes his meds. But something's missing. Someone. Sorry for the mistakes, there probably are some typos, plus English is not my first language.
