Wren and Enix were childhood best friends, they got through grade school and middle school together. In high school Enix made a name for himself, his friend group started to blend into Wren's friend group. Most of them had shit home lives so they found comfort in one another. They also used drugs as a way to cope.
They were all toxic in some way wether they realized it or not. Ignoring how much they romanticized their situation, it was not a healthy environment.
