Both of their parents got divorced when the twins were young, splitting the two from eachother. Shoyo and baby Natsu going with their mom and Shinya going with their dad.
Shinya knew his parents were divorced, but didn't understand why he was with their dad. Nor did he understand why him and his dad lived separately from his mom, baby sister, and twin brother.
