Yuichi was seventeen years old when he lost his parents and sister in a car crash and has felt numb ever since. At the age of twenty he keeps being alive but not living, getting pulled closer into giving in every day, as his life doesn't hold meaning to him anymore. He is forced to revisit that statement when he ends up in Borderland and has to participate in deadly games in order to stay alive. When he joins a community of other players Yuichi has to discover who to trust and who to stay far away from. Just as he thinks he has adapted to this new world, his contact with Haruto sweeps him off his feet. He finds himself caring about this boy's well-being, feeling determined to help him find his way home. But what will Yuichi do when he gets overwhelmed by thoughts and desires to go home with him?
Still struggling with the loss of his family and his empty prospects in life, Yuichi's sudden wanting to protect and get to know Haruto confuses him. But that's not the only challenging thing: what will they do when they get caught up in a power play between various dangerous players in Borderland? Will they find their way back home?

** I do not own Alice in Borderland or any of the characters. I only own Daigo Kana. That being said, this story roughly follows the timeline of the Netflix show but may have moments that don't fully line up. As well, Niragi is not as much of an a-hole in this story (by that I mean he respects women... to a degree?).
