Life of being trapped in her Father's manor is all Kiara Emerson has ever known. Other than what she has read in books and seen in art, she knows very little of the goings on in the city of Lyrithorian, especially in the years since the war between the Shadow Walkers and the Church of the Light ended. The most she has seen of it is the billowing smoke from the newly established factories rising over the cityscape and the dregs of information she has collected from evesdropping her Father, the head of law enforcement within the Church's meetings. 
As she learns more information, she realises something big is happeing within the High Priestesses and her father, and in the centre of the plot, is her.

These are the first few chapters I have written (ever) so please be gentle. It is also a draft and absolutely not honed in or polished at all, I just want to get a view on what people think so far and whether from the events so far if it is something they would want to read more of...Todos los derechos reservados

A few months ago, I received a box on my doorstep. It was charred in multiple places, and it had many puncture holes. The box had no return address-nor did it have mine. As I opened it, a note came out, with only three words: "Tell the story". Underneath the note, there was some sort of voice recording device that I have never seen before. This is what the recording enclosed. ******* Grace Carstairs was just a normal shadowhunter- well as normal as a shadowhunter can be. The only different thing about her is the fact that her mom left her dad when she was very little. Grace's little bubble of a Utopia blew up in her face after she took her test to see which district she would fit best in. Riley Fairchild's life has never been easy, being the parabatai and all to no other than Grace Carstairs. It especially hasn't been easy due to the fact that Grace's dad told him a huge secret that which we can never tell Grace until the time is right- whatever that means. Dayton has always been different. Despite being very much human, he was thrust into the shadowhunter world. When these three team up on a quest to find Raziel, secrets that are better kept hidden are revealed, loyalties turn, and they learn what is best. ((Completed as of September 1, 2015. Until she turned 18 then everything changed, her parents see that she isn't perfect after all and alas no one is. Because of this revelation she is met with new obstacles and ultimatums which she despises and takes matters into her own hands. Now she is faced with the ultimate mystery that breaks all rules, shatters all boundaries, enchants and captures her in every way possible. Will she back away from a challenge? or will she be able to adjust and be apart of creating a story like no other?
