Akko Kagari, a young girl who dreams of becoming a great witch, struggles to find Luna Nova Academy due to her lack of magical abilities. She meets Owen Oshua, a 13-year-old boy with a unique family background, who helps her locate the academy using his elemental powers. Impressed by Owen's potential, the headmistress of Luna Nova, Miranda Holbrook, offers him the opportunity to become the academy's first male student. Despite initial hesitation and facing prejudice from some of the female students, Owen agrees to enroll.
