Stand By For Action as Century 22 uncovers the production behind Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's Stingray, one of classic television's best-loved series. Distinguished for pioneering filmmaking techniques in model shots, underwater visuals, and as an early TV series that was filmed in colour, Stingray remains one of the crowning jewels of the Gerry Anderson catalogue and is considered by some to be the finest of Gerry Anderson's programs. Massively successful in its 1960s merchandising, the series has enjoyed repeat exposure over the years to maintain the series' cult status.

Now, as Stingray celebrates its 60th Anniversary, Century 22 investigates into the making of this iconic series, produced by AP Films between 1963-1964. From the earliest recorded notes on the series, the sophisticated puppetry of SUPERMARIONATION, creating underwater effects shots, or the influences surrounding the making of filming a futuristic science-fiction series made in the 1960s, this new book will educate all of Stingray. There will be something for every aficionado in this publication. P.W.O.R! A CaptainThunderWho Century 22 Production.
