Now crowned with the title of a god, Matsu bears the burden of guardianship, sworn to shield her kin from the hands that would turn wonder into spoil. Yet fate, laughing as it always does, seals her path with a boy of straw and sky, who dreams against the horizon-and in his impossible hope, the god of the sea finds her trial begin.
