An everlasting conflict between the Autobots and Decepticons ends, followed by the death of their leaders.

Months later, a restless Prime sparks a battle of wills with Primus and gets himself kicked out of the Allspark. When he wakes, he finds himself and Megatron revived--with a twist. They don't look like themselves, and the Autobots don't believe Optimus is really Optimus. That leaves them with only one place to turn to, and the Decepticons there are more willing to take in the former Prime than they are Megatron.

The definition of Megaop, as defined by this story: Megatron really wants to kill Optimus, but Optimus has bigger problems than Megatron's assassination attempts.

(Shattered Glass) Temptest thought she knew Optimus Prime, otherwise known as the false Prime, who stole the matrix of leadership and brought war to their planet. After trying to help her overcome some sort of brainwashing, Optimus realizes that the truth is more complicated than it seems. As the two of them work together, they both face their weaknesses and the many trials thrown at them by an interdimensional threat and some domestic ones. Optimus has a harsh life as the bearer of the matrix and Temptest struggles to be the symbol of freedom she once was. Alongside them, one Megatron works to protect his adopted family while the other tags along, fighting and testing them in hopes he'll find what he lost in his own dimension. The bots imagine that a terrible villain is on the prowl, but struggle to figure out who. Per the laws of equality that reside within every aspect of reality, another cybertronian with much darker intentions is sent to this new dimension.
