Calypso has been an outcast all her life. Her father and mother sailed the seas until they had her. Her mother died during childbirth, so it was just her and her dad, out on the sea everyday, and always coming home to the town they called home. After her father's ship turns up on the rocks along the coast, destroyed and without a crew, Calypso is determined to find her father. But it's been ten years, and she's just returned from another hunt, as rich as ever, but still without her father. The town hates her and her father, believing that they cursed the waters, the only people who believe her? Her crew and the bartender in town. One night, a light appears on the horizon and Calypso goes to investigate it, bringing her crew, and the bartender who has never sailed, but is insisting on coming with. Calypso and her crew are thrown into an adventure of mystery and discovery as they find out what the light was, what happened to Calypso's father, and who really rules the sea.
Warning. Light Cursing will be part of this book, so if that is triggering to you, please take care of yourself and do not read.
This idea came from CrazyCae's The Call Of Calypso video. Calypso, Elias, and the majority of the beginning belongs to her video, but as the story progresses, it becomes more my ideas and less Cae's ideas.
