A dark, medieval tale about a mercenary seeking coin and fame but he has never seen such evil in his life working for the Iron Clad mercenary unit, cutting down worshippers of the so called Devil of the sun. A being formed out of the unrepented sin of mankind some say, while others believe it to be a devil that has been summoned out of the farthest reaches of hell. Whatsoever way it came to be or what it's sole purpose is, it's presence must be vanquished once and for all. Our Mecenary, Skarr is of English origin. At a very young age his family was murdered while trying to board one of the ships headed for Scandinavia . Ever since the Devil of the sun came to be the whole world went into chaos. He had a birthmark which resembled a scar right across his face. That is what he had been named by his father who had the exact same birthmark across his face. His father was a well known knight who had fought against invading forces for the duration of his life. Skarr was taken in by his uncle the day of his parents death and took care of him. He taught him the way of the blade and served as a substitute for his father. As time passed skarr grew old enough to fend on his own as he needed to make a living and not to depend on his uncle often. His uncle felt the same way too. He prepared himself, packed his gear and bid farewell to his uncle. Is he truly ready for the world outside?

I wrote this for EVERYONE. To appeal to anyone that reads ANY genre. It combines almost all of them. It's an introduction to the Worlds of Within universe. When you get to the action parts (which doesn't take long) you should be invested enough to want to unravel the mysteries and enjoy its intrigue... The flood is raging. A terrifying, heartless mountain of water, swallowing the world . The tunnel networks? Of course, that won't save them. The forests? Like leaves in a breeze. The lookout towers and trade hubs? Gone. Washed clean. Every home, every last trace of what once was. Gamleon is the first to see it ... and survive. His mind is near collapse, his heart broken. He runs. What would YOU do? What could anyone do? Some scrape by in a mythological setting of beasts and medieval men. Cruel, literally cold-blooded Gorgon hordes enforce an absolute rule slithering in the tunnels beneath the feet of every kingdom. There is an isolated, forgotten place. A cavern, magnificent and vast, older than civilization. A place where the weird and the unwanted might ride out this cataclysm if Gamleon can stay alive long enough to get them there.. In this special place, something incredible, cut off from the outside, lurks. Something... you won't be ready for or ever expect. Gamleon, our weary adventurer, is a paradox: terrifying to some perhaps, yet his heart and intent is helpful, with a quiet dignity bordering on noble, intimidating and innately intelligent. The only way back out is to navigate the Gorgon tunnels. Join him, won't you ? Share his inner thoughts . See and feel how they help us all learn how to persist and triumph in spite of a world where everything is stacked against us. ( sound familiar, it should.) Join him and be swept away as he encounters or invents never-before-seen innovations and outrageous challenges. Dignity meets hope. Self-respect shines beyond courage. Welcome my friend to the Worlds of Within.
