Far in the Pacific Ocean, on the lost continent of Desmai, the three long-standing empires of a race known as the Shivrathai have been growing restless. Their usual peacefulness has been disturbed by a new leader coming to power; an ambitious leader, with plans to expand his empire's borders in a way that puts the other empires in grave danger. The new leader suddenly makes a bold move, leaving the other two empires crippled. In a desperate attempt to fight back, a lone warrior is sent to ally with an alien land - America.
However, things don't go as smoothly as planned for the warrior. Instead of going to the land's leader, he meets a human girl who agrees to help him in his cause. Together, the two hatch a daring plan that could raise the empires - or collapse them for good.

Luckily for her, the chief of the Akiire tribe takes her in. Akiire medicine men and women fuss over her until they're sure she's safe. Then the Akiire initate her as a member of their tribe. She gladly accepts. She's started to like it there, after all. Then Helios starts talking to her. He's nothing special in the tribe. He's a good warrior, but all the warriors are good.
