For Plot Context,
The year is 1821, and the wizarding world and the muggle world have not been properly separated, leading to unexplainable incidents in the muggle world like man-eating plants and nomes that seem never to want to stay in the same place. This ruckus has caused the formation of a group known as the Aurors. If there is ever a supernatural problem, they'd be lettered and sent to deal with it as soon as possible. The Aurors are also made up of mostly wizards with unaware muggles so..that's fun.

For Gay Plot Context,
16 -Almost 17 years ago- a family of well-known Aurors. The Potter family; were appeared to be killed in their home. Unfortunately, only Lily was found, and their precious son was taken. It has been speculated that Sirius Black, a good friend turned traitor of the Potter family, had taken him after destroying a holy cross meant to ward off any unholy beasts from the home, allowing a vampire known as The Dark Lord, who has been terrorizing London for centuries, to attack. The story was used by muggles and wizards alike to keep naughty children in line, and for Aurors to practice great caution of who they trust. Now fast for- Just read the damn book already.
