Cyrene's life goal has been the same since she could remember.

And she had managed to achieve it so far, despite being under constant vigilance. Day after day, she had kept her father and brother hidden from the watchful eyes of the rulers of the land, while managing to maintain their minds free of their control.

Nevertheless, despite her arduous efforts, all she worked for was about to crumble into nothingness after an unforeseen day when, unexpectedly, the elite that governed over all humans came to her small town. They were in search of soldiers who could serve them in their battle of power. A battle that would determine the next ruler of the vast kingdom she and her family resided in.
