Jinenji Falls in Love

Jinenji and his mother have always been on their own. Outcasted because he is half-yokai, Jinenji has always struggled to find his place in the world. Now, finally, he has a village that respects him and a few friends that visit from time to time. He no longer feels lonely, and yet, when he rescues a human woman that insists on following him home, he begins to have feelings he's never had before. Unfortunately, she has been hurt by humans, and even if she hadn't, it's unlikely she would ever come to love a monster like him. Right?

This takes place in the Inuyasha universe.
