Harry is an eighteen year old rich boy living in the rural mountainous forests of central Oregon with an anxiety problem and his entire future mapped out ahead of him. He lives to please, he lives to be the squeaky clean model child he was raised to be, though with constant pressure to be even better than his very best, he struggles to balance the heavy weight of life with his wavering mental health and self image. Harry is easily impressionable, and all he wants to chase after is a false idealism of perfection and a happily ever after. He finds that in the neighborhood pothead, and learns quickly that happiness doesn't always come in a picture perfect package, no matter how pretty strawberry blonde hair and green eyes can be. Happily ever after doesn't exist the same way they do in fairytales, they're a lot less magical and they're way more melodramatic and painful. Central Oregon isn't a kingdom far, far away. It's home, and life isn't perfect. Neither is she. Or, an AU where Harry's insecure and seeks validation from a pretty strawberry blonde who writes down her thoughts in blue ink. "You know, sitting at the lake I used to always pick at the clovers in the grass. They were always three leaf clovers, but I think if you pick enough they have just as much luck as the four leaf ones." Twitter// @hydratedharries Written: October 2015 - April 2019

He wants to shout it from the rooftops. He can't, and that hurts. "Love isn't about finding the perfect person. Because, if you are measuring perfection based on society's standards, nobody is ever perfect, even though everyone spends their lives striving to reach a level of acceptance that is physically impossible, and destroy themselves from the inside doing so. No, love isn't about finding that person who is void of flaws, or who is, in a social sense, perfect. Love, in its entirety, is about finding someone who is overwhelmingly imperfect, but willing to grow and learn with you, and it's about finding that person perfect- complete with all of their flaws and imperfections. It's not about changing someone, or "perfecting" them; it's just seeing the person, whom you wish to spend your life with, and who would break the universe to see you smile, it's about seeing them, an imperfect human being, perfectly. Harry, in my very broken and flawed mind, is... perfect. He is all that is perfect and all that is sweet and kind and funny just plain weird, but I love him with all of the love my heart could ever wish to possess. I love him with a passion that could silence the world, a passion only seen in storybooks and movies. A raging, fiery, bittersweet, all-consuming passion called love." TW: Self-harm/mentions of rape
