Hundreds of years ago, monsters and humans both lived on the surface. The relationship was unstable, and it was no surprise when war broke out between the races. Monsters, weakened and outnumbered, hid underground and used their magic to create a shield- nothing comes in, and nothing comes out. After generations passed, humans and monsters started to forget and regarded each other as myths. But something else happened with the generations. Monsters lost their magical ability. That begs the question, what will happen to the shield?

Soon after that, Chara joins a new family, but their ambition to keep everyone happy goes a little overboard and Chara is flung into a reality of destruction and hopeless wonder. Then many long years later they meet the beloved Frisk, who fell into the Underground, similar to themselves. Bailey Hill is a normal, 11 year old girl- until she trips, and falls into Mt.Ebott. Quick to befriend the monsters, Bailey is instantly loved by everyone. When monsters start mysteriously disappearing, Bailey is on the case. What she doesn't know, though, is that a small team, co-led by Undyne and Sans, are working as secret spies in the background. After hearing about the disappearances, Bailey thinks she can solve the mystery- but when Bailey has a shocking realization, she realizes that she might not be so innocent after all. ------------------------------------------- Changes: IMPORTANT: Frisk and Chara don't and never exist(ed) Monsters don't mind the underground, so Alphys never did the experiments.
