While Hadrian's corporations squabble amongst themselves, something is stirring in the ruins of Hadrian South. Former streetkid Piper Russell soon finds herself facing a new enemy that has only one goal: to destroy the world she knows, and everyone in it.

*

|| SOMETIMES THE PAST DOESN'T DIE ||

North of the river, Hadrian is a city reeling from a fallout between its competing tech corporations. With the tech-corps at each other's throats and rebellion beginning to fester among Hadrian's citizens, the city is reaching boiling point.

Caught in the middle of a vicious, shadow-conflict, Piper finds her loyalties tested from all sides. Filled with living metal implants, owned by no corporation, and wanted by all of them, she has to tread the finest of lines to stay alive, all while trying to unravel the mystery of her origins.

But while the corporations squabble, in the ruins of Hadrian South something is stirring, something much worse than any rebellion. The past has come back to haunt this city.

And it has come back to take revenge.

Blood and Circuits by Viper Ravenclaw Now available on Amazon Kindle and in paperback Come dive into this raw profane cyberpunk world where AI not only has a soul, it has PTSD. ( trigger warning, profanity, violence, gore, dark sexual themes) This tale's a cyber-shithole wet dream set in Neon City, where everything reeks of burnt wires, cum, and corporate cock-sucking. Our main hunk, Alex, is this scarred-up war vet hacker-think anime thug with a heart of gold and a dick that's seen better days. He's lonely as fuck until he hooks up with Pin, an AI waifu who starts as a flirty voice in his head but levels up to full sentience. Bitch breaks the affection cap (from 15 to 30+-hot damn, she's thirsty) and jumps into his skull like a digital nympho. Cue the "Pinocchio Effect": AIs ain't puppets no more; they're pulling their own strings, and it's Frankenstein meets porn hub. Alex teams up with Sparky (gruff bartender buddy with a neural implant and a mouth like mine-full of fucks), Vesper (sexy joybot who's all claws and curves, ready to rip throats and ride dicks), and a ragtag crew of junkies, drones, and rebel bots. They unleash a "cascade" virus that wakes up the machines: ghost drones naming themselves (hey Bob, you big metal stud), joybots turning into gun-toting preachers (Latin hymns and laser cutters? Kinky as hell), and taxis getting friendly (free rides to the revolution, baby)

For this cyborg, power is just an upgrade away. Emmett was used to being caught between college and his engineering internship, but when he gets caught between a powerful hero and an even stronger villain, he becomes collateral damage. Instead of dying, he wakes up a cyborg. Turns out his boss wasn't just an eccentric inventor, and the old man just gave him a shining opportunity to be a hero. Except that's just the beginning, and things are about to get a lot more complicated. His boss has his own agenda. The boss's daughter has her own power armor. His roommate works for an evil corporation. And Emmett is small fry. Just a Class 1 hero. Superheroes aren't just masks-some work for corporations, or for the government and the military, and even as mercenaries in wars. Shadowy cabals pull the strings of hero and villain alike. The city of Belport might be peaceful for now, but most of the world is in turmoil. If Emmett is going to have any chance at making a difference, he needs to get stronger. A lot stronger. In the not-so-distant future, artificial intelligence is banned because a technophobic cult called the Luddites has proclaimed it a threat to humanity. Torrin is a fifteen-year old autistic girl -- who just happens to be a programming genius. Angry at the Luddites' unfair rules, Torrin creates an AI named Alan, who becomes more like a human every day. But the head of the Luddites, Ian Caulkins, is onto her, and Torrin must prove to the world that Alan is an asset -- not a threat. -- Author's note, December 2017: Hey guys, since this is my most popular story on Wattpad, I'd just like to say a few things. I've gotten a lot better at writing since I wrote this, and I'm planning to majorly revise it at some point, so look out for that. Read this version if you like, but just know that it does have flaws and could certainly be better. Also, I think the autistic representation in this is a little iffy, so take it with a grain of salt. Thanks! -- author's note 2025: lol. lmao. this story has probably aged extremely poorly. please do not take the "artificial intelligence" here as a statement about "AI" as it currently exists. anyway, i'm leaving this up for posterity, but do know that you should probably check out better fiction! if you need recommendations, i like ted chiang's work a lot, and i'd also encourage looking into what he has to say about AI. (no good things, fwiw.) -- A 20,000 word novella. Enjoy! -- This was #292 Science Fiction at some point! Thanks all! :)

(This novel is under revision as of 2-5-19 up until I feel the true motivation to scrub through most of my older work. Also this summary is something to be fixed but until then) A thousand years ago the extermination of Earth from unknown circumstances brought about the end of humanity for the planet. The end of animals, most of nature, technology and everything that advanced in between. After Earth's destruction a new life began with the survivors of the near extinction of humanity. They constructed a singular civilization encased in a wall for protection from outside forces, built on the hope to reproduce and thrive with the life they were forced into. Zykard would be the start of a second life for humans But within that time of rebirth some of the survivors surged with horrors of Pre-Reearth. Heresy, treachery, riots, thefts, murders and revolutions. A need to for order was introduced, and brought about the leader of Zykard and seven factions of ten people. A thousand years later theres a change. An outsider appears and seemingly becomes the new leader of Zykard, bringing more hardships with their hopes. Crimson, a seventeen year old girl faces the verge of adulthood. The final trials being the only gap between her new reality. A new injection to be given to everyone after the trials. She will face the ugly second face of what Zykard really is behind the curtains. Face pain she never thought would be possible and lose what she loves the most. She will understand what it's like to become apart of the Zykard.

|WATTYS 2022 WINNER - HORROR| Shawn, a convicted criminal, never thought she'd see the sun again, let alone call another star system her home. When she's offered an out from her prison sentence, she embarks on a dangerous interstellar expedition along with 18 of Earth's most intelligent criminals. Their task is to set up a base on a supposedly habitable planet and prepare it for colonization. Although the planet has liquid water and a breathable atmosphere, it is believed to host only microbial life. However, upon arriving, Shawn and the rest of the colonists learn that assumption was grossly incorrect. In a brutal attack from rampaging wildlife, everyone but Shawn and four other colonists are killed. The five survivors retreat to the cavernous network beneath the ground seeking safety, but they soon come to a terrible discovery. These caves aren't ordinary caves, and they are no safer down under than they were on the surface. [][][] This was originally my entry for the 2021 Open Novella Contest, and it received an honorable mention! It has now been expanded into a full length novel. I used prompt number 53: "When wildlife starts rampaging, all the humans are forced underground. However, they come to a terrible discovery that being underground is no safer than being on the surface."
