The Story of Midnight
"Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?Concluida

Life had taken a turn for the better ever since my troubled brother was incarcerated for life. However, one day, a sense of unease crept over me and my best friend as we noticed a mysterious figure tailing us through the bustling town. "We should get out of here," I urged, seizing her arm as we hastily made our way through the crowded streets. She attempted to soothe me, attributing the tumultuous visions to my overactive imagination. On one occasion, I inadvertently overheard my mom and aunt engaged in a hushed conversation, puzzling over what impending revelation they were deliberating. Eventually, I mustered the courage to confront the enigmatic man who had been shadowing me. "Why have you been following me? Who are you?" I demanded, my voice quivering with trepidation. "I am Aleekie Smith," he disclosed, leaving me dumbfounded. "You're the man from my dream," I whispered, the pieces falling into place. The drama unfolded further as I crossed paths with a former boyfriend adamant on asserting control, his aggression escalating to a perilous climax when he brandished a firearm. Feeling ensnared, I made a pivotal decision to extricate myself from the tumult, severing ties with everyone in a dramatic departure. Amidst escalating tension and conflict, an unexpected source of solace materialized in the form of my father, ushering the narrative into an unforeseen trajectory. My Vampire Prince
"Hello, are you there ?" "Yes, I am. I will always be there." "Can I ask you something?" "Sure my love." "Why don't I feel scared of you? I am here, in my room, talking to a stranger who is invisible, I don't even know your full name. But..but I feel attracted towards you. I feel like you are very near to my heart. Why do I feel like this? Isn't this wrong?" "That is because you are my beloved, love." "Beloved? Do you mean "vampire-kinda-beloved"?" "Yes darling," he replied. "But how do I believe you?" Suddenly my surroundings became darker. A figure started to appear in front of my eyes. He was tall, porcelain-skinned, pure black eyes, jet black hair, well built, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans along with a black jacket. He was standing there looking like a Greek god while I was sitting on my bed with a messy bun on my head and a tub of ice-cream, looking like a homeless person. I was staring at him as if he was the 8th wonder of the world. "Wait a minute, you are ...y-you.." "Yes, I am " This is not a prologue. Dreaming Alone
"Why'd you even come back? The last time I checked, your mom didn't want you anywhere near this particular place in this planet where we live in." I looked straight at his eyes as his seems to study every inch of my face, probably looking for any sign of weakness that screams his name. He won't find one though. I've moved on and the only effect he has on me is only a fragment of what I felt for him before. He continued to study my face and it made me uncomfortable. Why won't he answer my question? With a sigh, I turned around to return to the safety of my house-where I know I'll be safe from those eyes that looks like it doesn't want to let mine go. "I wanted to see you" he answered. "I want to see you again." If you've already closed a chapter in your life and you're already about to open a new one, what would you do if the past chapter comes opening itself up? Will you flip through the pages once more or would you turn your back on it knowing that that certain chapter will always be the best one? It can be dreams that I wake up remembering because they felt real, but weren't, such as a movie, a tv show, or something else, and it makes me want to write a short story about it. Or it can also be nonfiction short stories of certain interesting topics that I thoroughly research and write to tell that story.
