A New Home

Aeda Wilder has set her mind on one thing--proving she can live amongst the humans, despite her foreign roots. She has deserted her skyfleet and escaped the command of her home station in Gora, though the planet she has come to for refuge is still a dangerous one. This short story follows a young woman after her crash landing on an ocean planet, where she encounters a strangely friendly man in a wee village under the pines.
