He's never been a fighter, he acted more like a prince than a knight. When Nyx Maskousky was taken as a young child, she was raised as a thief, but more importantly, as a fighter. But there's a catch: she has to dress like a man, or she's immediately thrown in a cell to rot, where every fragment of her freedom will be gone- ruined. Kiran Taner was taken, along with three other children at eleven, and like everyone else, was raised as a thief. But just as the universe had seemed to want, he's never been strong enough, and has to spend long hours every evening with a woman he can't hide feelings from- Nyx Maskousky. But with a horrible twist of fate, Nyx and Kiran was caught- however not by the exterminators, but by the Trial judges- who put both of them together in the them. However, if they find out that Nyx isn't a man- her whole life will be torn apart, and she will be locked up, or worse, killed. And the trials will easily be Kiran's end, for how strong everyone else is, yet how weak he was. And with a terrible level of self control, Kiran needs to keep his feelings from Nyx for as long as he can. Or that could be his downfall.
