Adeline Isla Cruz is a 2nd-year BSHM college student who transferred to Westwood College of Caloocan. She doesn't have a choice but to study there because of her strict and controlling father. Having a broken family from when she was a baby until now is really hard for Adeline Isla; she never felt the family love that she wanted when she grew up, along with the fact that her father neglected her. That's why she's studying hard to get high grades because she thinks that having higher grades can get her the fatherly love that she wanted from his father.

Not until Zayn Alastair Gonzales, the top-class, higher-achieving student in their section, crosses paths and becomes her academic rival. The irritating yet smart one enjoys annoying Adeline, who hates Alastair. All she can think about when she sees him is, "I hate you, Alastair!"
