"Do you love Topper?" I asked Sarah, referring to my brother.
"No... do you... love Rafe?" Sarah asked me. "I mean, you totally have a thing with JJ going on."
"A Pogue can't love a Kook. So what's the point trying with JJ?" I asked.
Skyelar Thornton, Topper's twin sister. Her brother hates that she's friends with the Pogues, and he tries to convince her to start dating Rafe "Coke-head" Cameron. As if. She's best friends with Sarah and Kie, and pretty close with the Pogues. But as her and JJ's lifelong friendship starts becoming more, the easier it is to abandon her brother and his Kookness in favor of the Pogues and her love life.
But sometimes, all you need is family.

She hangs with the Pogues but still manages her kook lifestyle. When it comes to Pogues vs Kooks she never picks a side. Her and Topper are close because their parents are hardly ever home. Holland and Sarah are friends but she prefers to hang with her fellow Pogues. Holland and John B have had very flirty moments (mainly just hitting on one another and kissing) In this story Holland develops her relationship with him. Holland and John B have always been close. She has always been there for him. Kie and Holland have been friends since prek they're practically sisters. Kie introduced her to the pogues in kindergarten. Pope and Holland are close they always vent to one another when they need. JJ is a lose cannon none the less he and Holland always look out for one another, just like he does the others. The pogues were set on having the best summer possible before school starts back, however that quickly changed when a hurricane hit outer banks and lead them on a wild adventure to find treasure. ***Story was rewritten.
