Sapphire, a shiny Eevee, wakes up, alone in the middle of a forest with no memory of who she was, other than her name and the fact that she had once been human. She is soon taken in by a Pokémon named Nuzleaf. what she doesn't realize is that the power she is given is more dangerous than it should be.
She befriends a reckless and clumsy Alolan Vulpix named Moon in town. Despite their opposite personalities, they become the best of friends.
As the two learn how to fight and become explorers, Sapphire struggles to control dark urges that seemingly come out whenever she "evolves." The more she realizes what's going on, the more she shuts herself out from the people she cares about. Will she reach out for help, or allow this power to consume her?
