Life can change so unexpectedly. One moment it was going to be the happiest day of Jemma Turner's life. Then the next moment she is standing in her wedding dress in the hospital and they are telling her she is a widow before she can become a wife. Trying to live with reality she starts working again as a child psychologist, taking on cases and trying to remember what normal might be without the love of her life. That is until Eric McManis, a new friend, needs her help and her expertise. Jemma knew she cared for him but begins to notice an attraction in such close quarters. Unsure if she wants a second chance at love, Jemma struggles with growing feelings. She isn't sure if there can be two great loves in one life but she has a feeling if she does Eric just might be the man for the job. **I wrote Love Metamorphosis years ago after reading an article about a woman who lost her husband-to-be on their wedding day. It moved me so much that I felt the urge to write an entire fictional story based solely on the idea of what a person would go through if the happiest day of their life suddenly became the worst. My immediate thought was I hope she choose to live and love again if the opportunity arose to marry someone else. Thus Love Metamorphosis was born. Poems from the heart that encase the emotions of an anxious, panic ridden fifteen year old girl who doesn't really have any experience with real love or heartbreak, but thinks she does. What I've learned from my "experiences" is that we get from a situation what we give to a situation. Even though, yeah, it's fucking hard sometimes to try and get over something or someone, we have to get over it at some point, or else what would be the point of waking in the morning and sleep in the night? There would be no point in anything. So try and beat what you thought was impossible to beat, fight what you thought was impossible to fight, and conquer the sickness you feel inside.

"You're unbearable!" He kicks her with utter contempt. "Please tell me where I'm wrong, causing you discomfort was not my intention," she said crying, causing him to hit her against the ground again. "Do you think you can live with good intentions? Didn't you have all the time you wanted to change and learn? You still dare to ask for more!" He yells at her with hatred, he blamed her for being the one will cause a woman to be beaten; He didn't want to be that kind of man. However, what he lived with her caused him to bring out what he hated the most about himself from within. -Forget it love- said a woman who was next to her- it's not worth it- this dog was supposed to be her friend, she was supposed to support her just like she did; however he managed so that he and she hated each other and thus be able to steal it. The woman on the floor does not know how much she was framed and harmed by her naivety, nor did she know that this was the beginning of her misfortunes. Because of that woman she did not stop suffering, wherever she went she suffered verbal or physical abuse and everything was orchestrated by this woman; she didn't know until she was about to faint. "Why?" She asked this unarmed woman without knowing why she hated him so much. She never did anything to hurt him. She just laughed viciously without answering him, she didn't have to waste her time with an insect; leaving La to die imprisoned in the house where she was kidnapped. "Answer me!" She got up from her bed screaming "Eh? This looks like my room; Did I reincarnate myself in the past?" She ran to the bathroom just to see that her assumption was correct. She thanked the heavens for this second chance by promising that she wouldn't be fooled a second time.

**REVISING** The gods have no pity for humans and their impermanence. Why would they care for lives measured in years, when time marches into millennia for them? The immortals stay in their city. The humans remain in their parts of the world. That is until a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death, forcing her to kill their enemies and increase their power. All immortals keep their backs turned on humanity. Except Samil, the God of Festivals and the Arts. Samil knows he isn't very powerful among his kind. Or important. Or confident. Yet, when he learns that the humans are desperate, he chooses to do a deceptively simple thing: Help them. ___________________________________ @Voyageavecmoi was kind enough to write this review of my book and she described it 100x better than I ever could lol. With her permission, I'm posting it below. Also, check out her book "Flight Risk." It's a sweet and deep romance about two characters negotiating their feelings for each other while life is doing everything to tear them apart. The characters have such mature conversations and, there's no reliance on the miscommunication trope at all. I'm *obsessed.* If you enjoy intriguing fantasy novels with deep and thoughtful themes, check out 'The Gifts of Mortality' by @eleanorkennedy14 . It explores the concept of mortality and how it gives life meaning through the eyes of both gods and humans. The story follows Samil, the god of the Festivals and the Arts, who is shocked by the apathy of his fellow gods when a human terrorist group gains control over the Goddess of Death. Despite finding no support among his kind, he's determined to help the humans, which sets him down an interesting course. There are lots of great twists in this novel, and I also loved seeing how queerness was worked in throughout both the immortal and mortal realms. Samil is a sweet and refreshing character to root for who is determined to see the good in the world.
