The outsiders fanfic AU.
Ponyboy and the Gang are hanging out in the Curtis household, chattering about a rumble. Johnny is outside, watching things from the deck. Abruptly, he see's a light in the distance, calling everyone to come and look. As the gang walks outside, they're met with a sudden shake in the ground, then a loud boom near their area.
This was the start of the Nuclear War, that ended human civilization on the surface.
