Just One Drop
(Book 1 in the 'Blood Drops' series) Five drops for the vampires who drink it. Four for the creatures who relish in it. Three for the strong who take it. Two for the weak who cower from it. One for the humans from whom it is taken. *** This book, along with all the others in this series, was written in a manic creative frenzy when I was about 11-12 years old. I do not consider it quality work, nor do I find it representative of my writing skills today. I will not take it down, because it is still fairly popular and I enjoy reflecting upon how I have developed my writing over the years. All I ask is that if you choose to read the book(s), please take into consideration that this was written by a tween many years ago, and that I am not the same person (or writer) as I was then. Thank you. *** 16 year old Felicia Winters had a life no one would be proud to call their own. No friends and a dysfunctional family; she had been bullied for most of her life. Until the day when she was captured by vampires, and sold to their prince, Braith. As a mysterious bond forms between them, they both deny it and refuse each other. But as Felicia drifts further and further from him, a rift begins to form within Braith, putting him and his entire kingdom- in fact, the whole world- at risk. But will she be able to love the man who has abused her so much? Or has she already found another love? And as a werewolf rebellion brews in the shadows, they are running out of time. Soon there will only be rubble left to rule over. Will Felicia be able to bring peace to the world, or will the kingdom crumble? For just one drop is never enough. After Daniel and Demonic got married and took over the kingdom, they had 2 children. A son, Huro Farian, and a daughter, Zila Alexanders. Huro and Zila are in high school, along with their cousins, Ria and Quin. They are Alex and Leon's children. Huro struggles with school. Since he is half wolf, he has to hide his real form to look like a human. However, most species believe that humans are monsters who kill with out reason. So, a specific group of people decided to bully and abuse him. Those people were Zack and his friends, Erin, Blake and Seth. Zack is a dragon. The dragon species is quite rare to see. Dragons usually keep to their own and don't communicate with other species, to keep them safe away from humans. Even though Dragoniea has it's own school for dragons to keep the dragons separated from others, Zack went to a multi-specie high school. The thing that people don't know, is that Zack is the Prince of Dragoniea, Queen Hirai and King Luke's son. The only people who are allowed to know about Zack, are other royalty like Huro. Zack does not know that Huro is also a prince and knows about his secret. He's the Prince of the United Kingdom of Cats, Wolves, Demons and Vampires, son of King Demonic and King Daniel. When Zack notices that Huro is acting suspicious on afternoon after sport, he follows Huro into a forest nearby the school. It's then that he finds out that Huro is a wolf cross vampire hybrid and that he is actually the heir to the throne like him. This gives him hope that everything will change, since he's known a little secret since he was 13. However, this is just the beginning of their story together. Throughout this story, they go through obstacles big and small. Together, they slowly begin to form feelings. Is it meant to be, or will it be the thing that ruins everyone. Rein, on the cusp on adulthood, found his family and town destroyed by forces beyond his understanding. Thus, the destiny within his heart called to him to seek out the cause of his calamity. So begins his journey as an advancer-- a title given to those who use magic to shape the world to their will. I've always been a fan of progression fantasy. However, I do feel disappointed by many of them, with too many characters that vanish into irrelevancy, sometimes arcs that are overly repetitive and a lack of characters ideals. In this story, I aim to instill more character ideals, motivations, and integrate said characters throughout the story, and ensure their interaction with the main character remain relevant to his heart. Perhaps, it's best to say I want the story to have a 'human spirit' that one could feel in old-school wuxia and action/adventure stories.
