"Maaf bunda, aku gagal" ucap Gadhing ketika akhirnya ia pulang ke rumah dan mendapati sang ibu telah pergi untuk selamanya. Penyesalan tentu akan selalu datang kemudian setelah adanya keputusan yang tentunya ada baik dan buruk.
Kisah kali ini adalah tentang hubungan antara ibu dan anak laki-lakinya yang merantau untuk kuliah di luar kota. Gadhing selalu terhubung dengan Bundanya selama masa perkuliahan berlangsung. Semua berjalan baik hingga Gadhing masuk ke semester akhir tahun perkuliahannya dan akhirnya kabar buruk muncul di tengah penyelesaian skripsinya.
