After successfully fending off the advancing Andro-Eidos army sent by Mother Sphere, EVE witnesses all of Xion along with its people being merciless destroyed by more Andro-Eidos soldiers and Mother Sphere. Before EVE is eliminated by Mother Sphere and her army, she is saved by unknown a hyper-advanced sentient AI and is sent away to another universe.

EVE wakes up in an entirely different world where she is left with the task of protecting humanity from the monstrous creations of the Umbrella Corporation.
