The Mitchell family is the picture of idyllic family life-a loving couple, two well-behaved children, and a beautiful log cabin home. But when tragedy strikes, their world is turned upside down. Samantha's sister dies unexpectedly, leaving behind her eight-year-old son, Riley. Driven by love and a sense of duty, Sam and her husband, Bradley, a naval aviator with a strict demeanor, open their hearts and home to Riley.
Riley's arrival, however, brings unforeseen challenges. Bradley's disciplined parenting clashes with Riley's more relaxed upbringing, and Samantha struggles to balance her grief with her new responsibilities. As tensions rise and resentment simmers, the once-harmonious Mitchell household teeters on the brink of chaos. Can they navigate the complexities of grief, bridge the gap between contrasting parenting styles, and forge a new sense of family? Or will the pressure shatter the foundation they've built?
