Life is full of changes, we all know that, right? Although we see this as something very easy to deal with, for others... This is not always the case. Thus begins the story of Serena Marshall, a 12-year-old girl who has to adapt to a new life after moving to a new city. Now forced to deal with a complicated, unfamiliar and unpredictable environment for her, Serena knows that her first year at that new school won't be easy; so she will have to adjust, find her place and, above all, face one of the most difficult and important challenges of her life: Making friends.

Fifteen-year-old Angel has always felt a little too much-too sensitive, too quiet, too different. But when she's diagnosed with autism and ADHD at the start of Year 10, everything begins to make a little more sense. With her sketchbook always close, she starts to untangle what it means to understand herself on her own terms. And then there's Skyler-her "just a friend" who feels like a safe place, who sees her in ways no one else ever has. She says she's just drawing to cope, but somehow, he keeps showing up on the page-his laugh, his eyes, the way he never lets her fall apart alone. In a world that doesn't always slow down, Angel is learning how to love herself, and maybe-slowly, bravely-someone else too.
