Lamia was a queen of Libya who was loved by Zeus. When Hera, Zeus's wife, stole Lamia's children from this union, Lamia killed every child she could get in her power. Stories are also told about a monster named Lamia who, in the form of a beautiful woman, lured young men to devour them and also sucked the blood of children. Lamia desired blood; she was also a vampire and an heiress to the kingdom of Libya. Ever since her children were stolen, she was deeply hurt and cried endlessly until one day she wandered into the forest of Libya, named Pennsylvania, and there began all the changes in Lamia.
