Nakia and her siblings are forced on a sudden move by their secretive parents from sunny San Diego to the middle of nowhere NorCal. Miles away from everything and everyone they love, they try to rebuild in the secluded town. Locked away from the world the five siblings Nakia, Ameen, Namir, Hausa, and Aida begin to uncover strange things going on in thew town and within their own home. The usual summer heat is substituted for fog and gloom to compliment the new flavor of abuse their parents carry out on them. ------------------------------------------------------------- TW: Parental Abuse, Exploration of Sexuality, Religious Trauma and exploration of religion.

Genesis

Genesis has grown up with a neglective, abusive father all throughout her sixteen years of life. Despite all the pain and trauma she goes through, she's still standing. Fighting back against her pathetic excuse of a father, not letting him see her weak and scared. The way she copes with all the pain isn't the healthiest but she stopped caring a long time ago. But when her father dies unexpectedly, she feels like all her prayers have been answered. Until she finds out she has brothers, five of them and she's forced to move in with them. Her very cold, secretive distant brothers. They have dark secrets but so does Genesis.
