In the bustling corridors of Westwood High, Ryujin returns after a two-year hiatus, hoping for a quiet, uneventful school year. Known for her exceptional talents in academics, music, and dance, Ryujin prefers to keep a low profile, surrounded by peers who see her as just another student. However, her plans for anonymity are quickly derailed by an unexpected encounter.

One morning, desperate to stay awake during a dreaded math class, Ryujin sneaks out to grab a hot coffee. As she heads back, she's stopped by an unfamiliar girl who, in a bizarre turn of events, takes a sip of her steaming coffee without warning. The scalding liquid leaves the girl with a singed lip, yet she manages to smile at Ryujin before joining her friends, leaving Ryujin both amused and perplexed.
