Askew
/adjective/
wrong; awry.

Sometimes things go wrong. Even the greatest of loves die sometimes, like the petal of a winter rose left to wither under the harsh rays of the sun. A poem on loving and losing, cause they are inclusive. Based on a real life incident.

"We found your poem to be incredibly creative and evoking strong emotion. The piece appears to be very personal and it shows when you illustrate the feelings of abandonment, nostalgia, and sorrow with your word choices and overall flow. The writing was clear, concise, and enjoyable for our judging team. Every verse in the poem can stand on its own, carrying a powerful message to the reader and evoking emotions that are easy to relate to. For these reasons, we chose this poem as one of our favorites."
