"A Book About Quinn" follows the story of a peculiar protagonist. Quinn, the titular main character, fulfills the role of the Narrator - but this isn't how the story was supposed to go, they're sure of it. Joined by James, Daphne and Alice - all holding secrets of their own - Quinn ventures across worlds to find the answer to that greatest of secrets - who are they, really?
Dreams and mirrors become portals to uncharted worlds, full of beauty and danger, and the most wonderous places. And time after time again is the question posed - who is visisting Quinn's dreams? And can they possibly rewrite destiny?

Mirai, the Witch of Sight
Mirai comes from a long line of witches who have been particularly gifted in using their inner sight. As such, she's trained her sight from a young age. She's always been a disappointment, however, as the only thing she's ever been able to see is the vague image of a girl. On her 18th birthday, Mirai discovers a mark on the back of her neck displaying the number thirty. From her first proper vision, she deduces that unless she finds the girl before the number reaches zero, both of them will die. Only being able to depend on her less than mediocre skills in seeing the future, Mirai sets out to find the girl before the time is up. Little does she know of the trauma the girl has suffered, nor that finding her is only the beginning. ---------- Mature rating due to: smut, violence, suicide (happens in the prologue while POV-character has her back turned), rape (happens in chapter 30 and will be mentions of it afterwards, fade to black, there will NOT be a trigger warning at the beginning of the specific chapter), violent death of babies, some rather bloody scenes, self-harm, extreme guilt. 1 argument, 1 inter-dimensional portal sucking in the 6 main characters, and 1 enemy within the various dimensions travelled. I'm kidding. There's more than 1. This is (or should be) the mostly women main cast version. There's also a mostly men main cast version. Throughout this series, six characters develop their powers and their relationships with friends, with siblings and with romantic and sexual partners. They travel through time and to alternate dimensions both by accident due to a lack of control over their powers and intentionally due to being summoned to help save their world or a time line. The series is light and the individual novellas can be read on their own in terms of the story itself. Over the course of a single day, Phoenix becomes the most hated person in the world. As the economy collapses around them, only three of his friends are willing to stay by his side. Their job is to keep Phoenix alive while he tries to make money reappear and find a cure to Gold fever.
