I take a step closer to her and drop my weapon.
"I'm on your side." I soften my voice trying to find humanity in her eyes.
"No."
Her eyes hardened as she continued to use her ability, her body felt the consequence.
"You protected yourself." Her words didn't sting as she intended.
My worry now was her.
"Listen to me Alea-"
"You killed her..." Her voice held fear and anger.
"She's alive." I take a step closer.
"Her heart's beating, but faintly." I continue as I continue to get closer to her.
"No. No. I felt it." She says as she shakes her head.
She backs away but before she can get further, I grab her waist and pull her close.
I had to get her out of this state.
"My sister can help." I reassure her as she cries into my arms.
I rock her for a moment before I feel her body relax and everyone under her ability dropped.
