Growing up Melissa was a part of a loving family who babied her every single moment of her life, sheltering her from the outside world as much as possible. That was until they couldn't anymore. One thing that should have been so simple sends Melissa flying face-first down a rabbit hole full of trauma and near-death experiences until finally, she escapes at 16 years old, vowing to never let those men see the light of day again. Spencer Reid was the typical quirky quiet kid, only he had an IQ of around 187 and a memory that went completely unmatched. At a young age, he finds himself right in the center of the FBI, well known as the behavioral analysis unit's pretty boy. To him, almost every case is the same, an Unsub who experienced trauma targeting people who fit the description of their trauma. It isn't until serial killers his team is hunting down begin to show up dead that he realizes how different this case is. Before he knows it he gets dropped straight in front of their killer who only has one thought on her mind, revenge.
