Finding Balance!
I am the best and i have countless awards to show for it. My restaurants are known all over the world. I can stand with giants and they will notice me because am the best there is and i earned it at the age of 26. Not many Chefs can stand and make the same claim as i. My restaurant is everything to me and i will not allow anything to distract my focus. All i have ever done is give. Even when my father told me to be cautious i ignored him and decided to trust a man that i barely knew and it cost my family everything. I have watched my father suffer for my mistakes but am going to make it right, for my sake and my family's. Evolution
There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. What would you do differently today? How would you prepare for tomorrow? We are told to live for today, however, the question is-how many people live for "today?" If you are living for "today" at the end of the day, could you say you took care of all of your responsibilities? Each day has a purpose; each day creates a memory, and each day should be precious. Ask yourself-did you put your best foot forward? Or did you point fingers at everyone else instead of focusing on what you need to improve? When you are a child people are always asking you "what will you be when you grow up?". Most of them know, or think they know. Most of the time what they say is lost over the years. I knew exactly what I wanted to be when I really understood what my father was doing. I wanted to save lives. When I heard about his cancer, a film of all the moments I lived with him crossed my mind ... I knew he wouldn't see my wedding, he wouldn't see me as a captain, he wouldn't see me doing everything what he taught me since I was a child. I would be alone again ... I don't know if I could do that again, bury another person that I love. What if Andy had been promoted? Would her father's fear materialize?
