Lyla has built her own empire from scratch, a successful company that she's fiercely proud of. Independent and driven, she has no interest in marrying for convenience-especially not Lorenzo Caldwell. The Caldwells and Lyla's family have always been close, and there's been an expectation that she and Lorenzo would eventually tie the knot. But Lyla wants nothing to do with a marriage that's based on family obligations. Lorenzo, the ruthless CEO of Caldwell Enterprises, has always been used to getting what he wants, especially when it comes to his family's expectations. He's heard the rumors: Lyla, wealthy in her own right, must be eyeing his fortune. But he doesn't know Lyla-she's not interested in him or his money. She's already made a name for herself, and no amount of wealth can change that. As both families push them together, Lyla and Lorenzo are forced to navigate their differences, their assumptions about each other, and the pressure to marry for the sake of tradition. What happens when the cold CEO and the independent businesswoman begin to see each other in a new light? Can a marriage of convenience turn into something more, or will they both remain trapped by their own assumptions?
