Shishna

Sophia awakens to learn that her real name is Shishna and she has been a victim of the Dominion's ReCast project for the last five years. The Dominion is a new order, controlled by a woman known only as “The Ruler” in a land known only as “The Continent.” In this land teenagers of lesser social status can be sold by their parents to the Dominion, in exchange for the promise of escaping the cycle of labor camps. These adolescents are unwilling placed in a facility where their memories are “Cleansed” and they are ReCast into dreams that become their new lives. While in the Palace of Dreams they become the subjects of experiments designed to test the ability of the human mind and consciousness, revealing mental abilities, that no one thought were possible. Shishna, awoken by Vigilants, must escape from the Palace, but constantly tormented by remnants of her past in reoccurring nightmares, is uncertain if she truly wants to discover the horrors that await her outside the comfort of her dreams. A decision must be made quickly for there is only a small window of opportunity to return to “Rest” without suffering devastating consequences.
