The girls who arent picked are quickly forgotten. The girls who are become the center of attention, and each reacts differently to the experience. 
Abby's joy at being named the prettiest is clouded by her sisters resentment.
Danielle worries about how her boyfriend will take the news.
Laurren is a homeschooled girl blindsided by her instant popularity.
Candace isnt ugly, not even close, this must be a mistake.
Bridget knows her summer transformation isnt something to celebrate.
Sarah has always rebelled against tradiitional standards of beauty, and she decided to tkae her munity to the next level.

They all initially agree to help James, and also want to make some good money from the party. But, there's one girl who wants to see it all burn up in flames. Sammi, a mean, catty, popular girl who has the hots for James, tries everything in her power to ruin Emma. After a bunch of run ins with the both of them, Sammi makes up a rumor about James, insinuating it was Emma who started it. James watches Emma embarrass herself on multiple different occasions, And still wont explain why he is upset with her. But, after Sammi gets a football player to put a cockroach in Emma's hair in class, Emma runs out to leave. She then runs into James, who Offers to give her a ride home. He then tells her he fiund out it was Sammi who started the rumor. And to make it up to her, he brings her to see her favorite series, 'Raven-Man' at the Drive-in theatre.

... that changes everything Sarah was starting her junior year of high school. Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a pretty average blonde haired, blue eyed, teenager. She was neither in the popular group, nor one of the many cliched outsiders. Sarah was a nobody. She liked to blend in and lay low. It was her way out of not only this town, but her house. No one knew it, but her father was a high functioning alcoholic that often took his anger out on his family. With her older sister now in college, it had turned to her more often. Laying low in general was a good strategy. Across town, Ryan was prepping for his final year in high school. While he wasn't the stereotypical quarterback of the football team, he did fit into the popular crowd. His sports of choice included basketball and soccer, either of which might line him up for a scholarship next year. Ryan had a group of close friends and a lot of adoring acquaintances. It wasn't easy juggling his athletics and keeping the grades up, but he was just that good. The supporting parents didn't hurt either. It might be a cliché romance, but it will be fun to see what the year and beyond holds. ------------------------------------------ This is a story I wrote years ago, or at least partially wrote. As I transcribe it here, I have tried to update it a bit and give the characters/story more depth than what I had when I was younger. Hopefully it all gets pulled together!

He's the football captain, a ladies' man and holds the reputation of being the bad boy because he always spends his time in detention. Austin and Ellie has always on the verge of ripping each other's teeth off, they were enemies since they first met and it was because of Austin's childish acts and childish bickers that made Ellie think that he was her number one enemy. It does not really bother Ellie of how Austin acts but one day, she had enough of what Austin thinks about her look that gave her the motivation to change. With the help of Ellie's gal friends, they started the makeover project. A love story that if full of humor, fights, hormonal teenagers, love, teen drama that would make you laugh and cry in the same time.
