With leaf-bare creeping up, the Clans are preparing for the harsh weather. Preparing for another season should be like gathering moss for the elders, but not this time. This time, the Clans are struggling just to assemble a hunting patrol and maintain borders. Forcing time out of daily tasks is asking the impossible. Leaf-bare is going to take the remaining lives of the cats that are lucky enough to even make it through leaf-fall. It's claimed that a kittypet's life was easy. All one needed to do is sleep all day, a food and shelter provided by one's Housefolk. But Angel didn't enjoy that kind of life. She wanted to explore the forest, hunt, feel a bit of excitement, adrenaline, a bond. But all she got from the Twolegplace were ridicules and mocking from the other kittypets, judging her for preferring to drink from rain puddles instead of water bowls, play in the forest rather than nap beneath the sun, pretend to hunt rather than just eat her pellets. Not to mention the name calling. Needless to say, Angel didn't have many friends in the Twolegplace, and soon found herself wishing for another life. When it seemed opportunity presented itself, she didn't hesitate to jump at the chance, leaving everything she knew behind for an unfamiliar world. But the new life has its challenges, too. Angel was sucked into a war. Oh, and she was fooled. She was fooled into thinking the battles would be a one's basic war, with blood, injuries, and death, but it was so much more than that. Secrets, betrayal, and a dark history lies in wait, unraveling secrets that the white she-cat may have never wanted to know. Angel wanted a new life.
