The first book focuses mostly on Antonella, an intelligent but impulsive young woman who had her life set out for her. Her parents had always told her that being a lawyer is what will get her far in life, what will make her successful. For the longest time that's what she thought she wanted to be when she grew up, but what happens when she meets a man who makes her question everything about herself?

Anthony Archibald comes from a wealthy and powerful family, his father being a British business man who owns a company that is very influential and prestige, Archibald Industries. His mother a Turkish woman who fell in love with his father and abandoned her family, her culture to be with him. Anthony has a younger sister who lives in the USA, studying there and only coming home once in a while.

Anthony grew up spoiled, he knew that no matter what he would get what he wanted, which stuck with him into his adulthood. For everyone around him he comes across as a cold and untouchable man, mysterious and very attractive. The world lies at his feet.

When Anthony and Antonella meet, he is in his last year of university, which leads to him taking over his father's company once he graduates.
